Disorganized Sports (DS) is a FREE drop-in style sports program that happens at school.
DS can be either before school, during lunchtime, or after school depending on the schools and what works best for their
students. DS usually happens in the school gym, and is for students in grade 6 through to 12.
At DS approved adult volunteers will supervise and lead the gym time. *Students must have parental permission before they can attend DS.
At each DS we include a short “thought for the day” called “Coaches Corner”. The “Coaches Corner” is a 5-minute discussion that teaches moral values from a Christian perspective. Topics include things such as disrespect, irresponsibility, lack of restraint, giving into peer-pressure, and low self-esteem. These topics are often chosen by the students.
DS has the same rules as most classrooms. We work closely with schools to enforce these rules:
1. No put downs or bullying
2. No swearing
3. Respect everyone and their personal space
4. Play Hard… Play Fair… Play Safe
If you would like to have a DS running at your school, or if you need any more information please contact Nathaniel.
D4 is a lunch group gathering at school where students are encouraged to have a say. This started as a ministry of YFC and has grown to be lead locally by youth pastors in our city. The YFC staff are involved at Thom Collegiate and 10 other churches and ministries run programs in each of the other public high schools across Regina.
LAMB’S BOXING is for boys and girls ages 11-26. Classes run Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:45 pm, as
well as some Saturdays. The Lambs Boxing Club is situated at the Buffalo Lounge at 2025 Lorne St, Regina.
Lambs Club has caring, adult volunteers that supervise youth while they participate in various boxing and fitness
based activities. Included in the hour will be physical fitness, followed by boxing training delivered by qualified coaches, and a “Coaches Corner,” which is a brief challenge for the students from a Christian perspective.
There is no charge to attend, except registration with Boxing Saskatchewan for boxers who want to compete. All students are required to bring inside runners, a water bottle, and sweat towel. Participants need to dress appropriately including shorts/sweat pants and a t-shirt as well.
